During the adoption process, which was very smooth, Furever Home Dog Rescue communicated with us every step of the way and were clear in sharing that Steve was a shy dog who would need a lot of work. The foster home where we met Steve was also very helpful in us making our decision to see if Steve was the right fit for both us and our existing dogs and him. Steve has settled in very well and has quickly become part of the pack. Thank you Furever Home Dog Rescue for making this process smooth, efficient but most importantly ensuring that Steve has been a perfect match for both our family and for him!

Furever Home Dog Rescue was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process.  Everyone was kind, answered our questions, and was thorough.

Well on March 17^th, Aspen (now named Chelsea) and I will be together four (4) months.

Furever Home Dog Rescue (FHDR) was the absolute BEST rescue shelter of all that I’ve experienced attempting to adopt a dog to fulfill a lonely retired man’s life.

From first contact to present date, I NEVER had any problems and only had pleasant encounters with FHDR whether through Text or E-mail messages.

Would I recommend FHDR to friends or relatives looking to adopt an animal? Oh hell YES!

Comparing FHDR to other rescue sites I’ve contacted trying to get a puppy or adult dog, they were the BEST – nobody (and I mean NOBODY), did not please me as much as FHDR did from start to end of the adoption process.

We knew some months before we found Coal that we were ready to welcome a new dog into our family. The process itself was a bit daunting. One rescue center had a complicated application process and a slow response time. 

Our experience with Furever Home Dog Rescue to very positive. We saw a photo of Coal on a facebook post and responded with an email, expressing our interest. Camille responded almost immediately with an application form, which we filled out and submitted that evening. I think it was only a few days before we agreed we were ready for a meet and greet, and just had to find a time that was convenient for Coal’s foster mom.

I think Fuever Home Dog Rescue’s process is thorough but not overly complicated. Camille clearly care for each dog and wants to make sure they end up in a good home. She was very receptive to all of our questions, and we were so excited when she said she thought our family would be a good fit.

Coal has been with us for just over 3 months now. He just completed his first beginner class at school, and loves to go on walks and play with his buddy Scout, the dog next door. He is a happy, cuddly boy and we are grateful to Furever Home Dog Rescue for rescuing him, and also to his foster family for the excellent care he received. I think that made it easier for him to settle in to his new home.

I highly recommend Furever  Home Dog Rescue. FHDR cares about the dogs first, but also care about the families.

We recently adopted our puppy, Dakota, from Furever Home Dog rescue.  During the entire process, communication with anyone from FHDR in reference to the adoption process, all the way to the day of us picking our little girl up, was excellent  Everyone was easy to talk to, provided all the information we would need, as well as provided tips and ideas to help our puppy adjust into our home.  The foster family did an excellent job of making us comfortable in their home upon visitation and allowed us ample time to sit with the puppy and get to know each other.  The entire process, start to finish, was seamless.  There isn’t a doubt in my mind that we will one day adopt again from Furever Home Dog Rescue.

We thought the adoption process with Furever Home Dog Rescue was very easy. We felt no pressure to move forward with the adoption as we met Koda (Alphie). We had just lost our dog and were not sure if timing was right as we were still grieving. But we did fall in love with

Alphie and the process was seamless. We had vacation planned shortly after meeting Alphie and made plans to pick him up after vacation as to not disrupt the transition to his new home. The foster mom kept him and we made arrangements to pick him up shortly after. Alphie is a perfect addition to our family, he is very loved and gives us love in return. I don’t think I would do anything to improve the process…

I had a wonderful adoption experience with FHDR – Camille was extremely thorough in vetting me out and prepping me for a rescue pup. He is so sweet and happy. I think he was a perfect fit for me and my family. I feel grateful everyday, thanks again for the opportunity. I would love the opportunity to foster if ever needed down the road when Regis gets a bit older.

Furever Home Dog Rescue provided great assistance with the adoption process, and was prompt to answer  questions that I had, in particular, in taking care of medical issues during the fostering process.   Tootsie is a good fit for me, and I love having her become a part of my life! Evan, known as Rooney now has been such an incredible blessing and addition to our family. He has brought so much joy. He has the best personality and is very smart! 

Overall I am pleased with my experience with Furever Home Dog Rescue. This was my first time rescuing with a rescue so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The communication was very clear and Camille was open to answering any questions!

I think the adoption process with Furever Home Dog Rescue is about as good as it can be. I love how strict and thorough the adoption forms and policies are because I feel that it ensures that the dog will be placed into a safe and loving home. Furever Home Dog Rescue also helped guide me in safer practices when owning a dog and warned me about the dangers of electric fences which was incredibly helpful and informative as I had no idea how bad they are for dogs. On a side note, I’d like to extend my greatest gratitude to Furever Home Dog Rescue for allowing me to adopt Kona and giving these dogs the best chance at finding loving homes. I really appreciate the care that goes into the adoption and foster process at Furever Home Dog Rescue, thank you for saving these puppies and dogs! 

Camille from Furever Home Dog Rescue was very responsive with her e-mails and phone calls regarding the whole process.  She explained every step of the way very clearly and was very honest about her expectations and requirements, but still understanding and willing to work with me and caring for my dog if there was an issue.  For example, I do not have the best schedule, but when I informed Camille that I would have arrangements in place as well as alternate care in case of emergencies she was very accommodating to that.  I had applied for a dog a few years ago, with a different rescue, which can be time consuming.  When I never heard back from that other rescue, it was upsetting.  Even if they had informed me that I was not chosen or why I was not a good fit, that would have been sufficient.  Camille informed me that she would let me know, regardless if I was a good fit or not, which she kept true to.  I couldn’t be happier with Rudy, my puppy, who is a perfect fit for my life.  He is an absolute monster and a maniac which I absolutely love, and it keeps my older dog young.  He is great with all people and dogs and loves attention from anyone.  I would recommend anyone to look toward Furever Home Dog Rescue if they want to find their best fur friend!!

And the foster family was great and provided a very enriching environment.

Bodhi is doing well making lots of new friends. He’s been a great addition to the family and is so sweet and well behaved for a six month old.
