Working with Furever Home Dog Rescue was such a pleasant experience. Camille answered all my questions about our dog Juni, June Bug. She was so diligent in getting Juni to New Jersey. There are a lot of moving parts when a dog is traveling to a new owner from another state, like pilots schedules and weather, but Camille was persistent in getting Juni to us. Camille was also very understanding that we needed to make sure Juni was a good fit with our dog, Kylo and was so good about asking the kennel who had her about her temperament with other dogs. I’m happy to say Juni and Ky are great friends. Juni is such an amazing, sweet dog. We are so thankful for Furever Home Dog Rescue in assisting us in acquiring our newest four legged family member. Juni graduates next week from her dog training class where she is a star student!
I had a fantastic experience with Furever Home Dog Rescue. They made sure to keep me informed throughout the entire process and were quick to answer any questions I had. They make sure to find good foster homes, I was very pleased with where Millie was fostered. I couldn’t be happier with my adopted puppy.
Working with Furever Dog Home Rescue was such a positive experience with adopting my first ever puppy. Camille made the adoption process effortless by answering all my questions. She was very quick to respond and especially patient since this experience was all new to me. My new puppy, Summer, is the perfect match for myself and my family. She is the family member that we didn’t know was missing! Thank you so much!
This is the 2nd dog that we have adopted from FHDR and to be honest, we wouldn’t adopt from anywhere else! You have us meet with the dog to make sure the family is compatible with the new addition. Camille & Liz (foster mom) made the process easy, enjoyable, and with love for the dog, as well as for the owner.
Without question Camille answered all our questions about the adoption process and communication was clear. Everything was explained, we were given an information packet and it’s a smooth operation. We sing your praises all the time and suggest FDHR to anyone that asks:
Do you feel your adopted pup was a good match for you and your family?
Our Answer: Without Question! We all love Jasper, but Robyn would be lost without him and Jasper would be lost without her!
We have been enjoying getting to know Lily, she is really growing into her personality. FHDR did answer all our questions and Camille, you were very helpful. We really appreciated all the paperwork and helpful hints. We are excited for Lily to continue to grow into our family.
We are all doing great and Millie (Elly) is totally settling in to our home. We absolutely love her and are so grateful for the work that FHDR did to bring her to us! The whole adoption process was very smooth thanks to the efforts of FHDR. We appreciated the communication throughout and for Camille answering any and all questions along the way. Thank you for all that you do, your care and compassion for both the dogs and the process really shows. Thanks
This was our first time adopting from a rescue shelter and did not know what to expect. As far as the adoption process goes, first I would like to thank Camille for what she does for every animal that she takes in. We love the fact that they are not put into a shelter in cages they are safe and secure in loving homes. It definitely made it an easy transition for us. You were very thorough in making sure that the dogs will have a home where they will be well taken care of and loved – we appreciated that. Again thank you for what you do for these beautiful dogs and for our Scully.
Hi, my name is Ally and I have been fostering for Furever Home Dog Rescue since 2021. I really enjoy working with this rescue that does what they say and puts their heart into everything they do. The rescued pups come from high kill shelter and though it saddens me that they cannot all be saved, the pups that are taken in by FHDR are pretty much guaranteed a happy life. The founder, Camille, is a true dog lover with rescues of her own. She works hard and is there every step of the way, from arranging the pups travel itinerary from out of state shelters to screening every single adoption applicant; she works until all of FDHR pups are adopted into a great family. And every time I meet with the selected family that my foster pup may end up with, I am always satisfied with FHDR’s choice. It’s bittersweet when my pup is no longer with me but I’m always so happy knowing that the pup will have the life he/she deserves. Because they are just like us with many emotions and the desire to live a happy life. It is absolutely rewarding in every way to be part of saving a life.
Fostering is so important. There are so many homeless dogs and pups that don’t have the chance of living the life they deserve. If we can all open up our hearts a little more, and to be a hero and help save a life, it would really make a difference in our lives as well as theirs.
Even though it may seem like I’m saving a dog’s life, they are rescuing mine by bringing so much joy and unconditional love into my life. Each one has his/her own personality, and they always make me smile and laugh every day. It is so nice to enjoy the company of such a beautiful being and the unconditional love they share just naturally creates an uplifting environment in my home. My foster pups can always turn any of my bad days into a good one. I love them so much.
Fostering is also great for those who are considering becoming a dog parent. It would really help you decide if that is something you are ready for, as you will practically be a dog parent for up to 2 months. Additionally, fostering reduces the chance of a dog ending back in a shelter, and feeling abandoned. For some, the responsibilities can be a real eye opener and one may decide they are not ready to be a dog parent, but rather a foster parent. That is what happened to me. I realized that I am not ready to become a permanent dog parent yet, due to my work and travel schedule. I have learned so much from being a foster parent. It’s one thing to know and another to actually experience that a dog or pup requires unwavering commitment, time and of course lots of love and attention. I am so grateful for the opportunities to foster with FHDR. Every foster experience has always been nothing short of amazing. The process and communication have always been smooth and Camille is always there with her support. I highly recommend it!
I think that Furever Home Dog Rescue stands out because they have fosters for the pups and I think this really impacts how the pup starts its life out in his furever home. Being raised by a loving family that teaches the pups beginning obedience and manners as well as socialization sets both the pup and the adoptive family up for success. It’s also really great how Camille is so available for help and support if needed. We always recommend FHDR to anyone that will listen to us. In our opinion, fostering and adoption is the only way to go!!
We had a wonderful experience with Furever Home Dog Rescut. We felt that the organization was truly invested in making sure Pecan (aka Lola) was placed in the perfect home, as they were very thorough and honest during the vetting process. My family is IN LOVE with our Lola and we can’t imagine our lives without her!
The process to adopt Deki (aka Fonzie) was easy. The communication was crystal clear. Deki was without a doubt a perfect match for our family. We love this pup more than we can say. He’s just perfect! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
We are so happy to have gotten Millie, she is the best addition to our fur family! We thank Camille for the easy process, answering all our crazy questions, and trust in us as fur parents with Milo and welcoming Millie. We traveled almost 2 hours for a meet and greet and you worked with us on making arrangements to do so and you provided us with more than enough information. We are so happy to be able to spoil her for life ❤
The adoption process through Furever Home Rescue was great. We feel that Maisey (formerly Hazy) is a good match for us even though she is a different breed mix than we are accustomed to. It was very helpful that she was in a foster home rather than a shelter, so she was already housebroken and fairly well trained by the time we adopted her. Overall, we were very pleased with the adoption process.
We really liked how the adoption went. All went smoothly & questions were answered quickly. The application was a good way to find the right people to adopt dogs. Certain criteria was asked about us & even pictures of our yard & inside home. Phone interview went well, where you really get to know the adopting people better. The foster mom, started the basic training skills & Amy/Flo knew “Come” and she came to her knew name quickly. She knew “Sit” & was quickly house broken just had to figure how how it worked in a new home. By day 3 she knew outside was where to go & which door to go to. She almost came pretrained, because the foster Mom had worked with her before we adopted her. So that was an added plus. Amy was a very good fit for us. She,’s loving her forever new home,& doing very well.
As far as the adoption process, I thought it was extremely smooth! I remember Camille got back to me right away and was very communicative with us. It was also nice knowing that if we felt that Barkley/Doc wasn’t the right dog for us when we met him, that there wasn’t an obligation to adopt him. Even furthermore, I thought it was so important and special that Camille and the foster mom wanted to ensure that he found the family that was the right fit for him! Also, as a first time pet owner, it was so nice to have information provided on things to do to prep for Barkley, what to look out for, etc I would (and have!) recommended Furever Home Dog Rescue to others!
Thank you again for getting our sweet boy to us. When he was at the vet for his neutering, Mike said to me “doesn’t the house feel so empty without him?” and I totally agreed. He really fills our house and our lives with so much joy! We love him so much!
Mia (coconut) is the sweetest girl. She just wants to please our whole family. I feel like she was meant to be with us, and she is part of our family now. Both my kids get so much joy from her, and she is so good with them, always following us around the house, and wants to be part of whatever we’re doing. I can’t say enough positive things about Furever Home Dog Rescue. This is our 2nd time adopting with FHDR, and both times went so smooth. Camille is wonderful, with the whole adopting process, from getting all the info from the adopter, to setting up the meet and greet, to making sure, everything is in order for the process of when you take the pup home. Thank you for allowing us to adopt again. Coconut will be loved her whole life.
We chose to send our application to Furever Home Dog Rescue since we liked the idea of having a dog fostered in a home prior to adoption. Camille responded to our request for an application quickly and continued to help us with any questions we had via email. We did not know what to expect during the process but Camille kept us up to date on an almost daily basis, and when our application was accepted she was diligent and flexible in setting up a time to adopt Cayden, now Kylo. Everything about the adoption process was clearly for the best interest of our new rescue, and we would not want it any other way. Kylo has been a great addition to our family and we would go back to Furever Home Dog Rescue if we want to adopt a second dog!
We had a great adoption experience with FHDR and really appreciated the thoroughness of the adoption process. All of our questions were answered and the communication was very clear.
